Trumpets

The three feasts mentioned above are known as fall harvests.  They are feasts commemorated for the harvest of the latter fruits in the year.  It’s designed to teach how YHWH through Yahshua is harvesting His people that will inherit His Kingdom on His return.   LEVITICUS 23 details the Feasts of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and Tabernacles (including the Last Great Day).  They are all YHWH’s Feasts commanded to be celebrated as Holy Days. In it a holy convocation should be observed.  Unfortunately, most religions today, particularly the Christendom have rejected this YHWH Appointed Feasts; and they have joined the heathen world to observe their feasts – Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Boxing Day, etc.  Observance of heathen pagan feasts contradicts YHWH’s express commandments, which commands His people never to observe pagan feasts.  It’s as a result of rebelling against the Word of YHWH that the world is gradually but steadily plunging into chaos.  The Covenant Book says that humanity will pay the price of their disobedience before YAHSHUA returns. 

Bible reveals that angels have been given 7 trumpets to sound at YHWH’s own time for purpose of releasing 7 plagues that will afflict the disobedient.  The period is known as the “Day of YHWH” (not the “Day of the Lord” as erroneously taught by false teachers).  It is a time of destruction, disaster, vengeance, and wrath of YHWH on the disobedient people of the earth.  Read more in Revelations Chapters 7 – 9, and 16 – 19.  You have opportunity to begin now for escape of the calamity that is coming by joining the Covenant keepers who obey the Law and Commandments of YHWH and have faith in Yahshua Messiah.  Obedient to YHWH’s Word and separating oneself from the sinful world is the key.

Yahshua urged His people:

Come out of her (“Babylon” – world of iniquity) My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues, Rev. 18:4. 

The unprecedented destruction that will happen all over the world, will hasten the return of Yahshua to save the elect.  The obedient saints will be looking forward to the “Last Trump” which was foretold by Apostle Paul:

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Cor. 15:52.

This will mark the return of Yahshua Messiah as Sovereign of sovereign, King of kings, and Master of masters.  At this time, He will free Israel and restore them to their Land and establish His Kingdom or Government in the Land of Israel (Isaiah 9:6; Ezek. 20:40-42; Acts 1:6).  He is returning to rule with a symbolic rod of iron showing all governing power is His, and He will enforce the Covenant Law, which wicked mankind reject on earth (Isaiah 2:2-4; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 20:37-38).  The best part for us is that we’ll have a spectacular opportunity to rule with Him on earth, at His return:

And has made us unto our YHWH kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth, Revelation 5:10.

Feast of Trumpets teach about the return of Yahshua as our King of kings and Master of masters.  The last blast of trumpet will sound signalling His return.  This is a truly joyful and prophetic Feast.  We read of what it will be like for the firstfruits (saints) at that time; we rejoice in keeping this holy day knowing what it pictures for us in the future:

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.  And He saith unto me, Write, “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”  And He saith unto me, “These are the true sayings of YAHWH,” Revelation 19:7-9.

Day of Atonement

Nine days after Feast of Trumpets is the Day of Atonement.  It is a very special day that calls for fasting for a 24-hours period.  It is actually the only commanded fast that is in the Bible.  Many today occasionally fast, which is good if they have their focus correct.  Most times people fast, they do it for the wrong reasons.  The Bible gives clear instruction on how and how not to fast (Isaiah 58:3-9; Matt. 6:16-18).  Individual or group fasting requires focus and following biblical details of fast, particularly doing it in righteousness.  Atonement in the O.T. meant making atonement for the people, whereas the Passover was for the individual.

And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it (the great altar) once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto YHWH, Exodus 30:10.

Notice that there is special emphasis on this day: it is “most holy unto YHWH”.  Most people today don’t understand the implications of this day for us.  Atonement can be related to the banishment of Satan (Revelation 20:2-3).  This was discussed in the N.T.  It will happen after Yahshua returns.  The banished goat of the O.T. (Lev. 16:22) appears to be a type of precursor to this. 

With Satan’s destructive influence out of the way, it will bring us more fully at-one-ment with YHWH.  There will still need to be work to be done to undo the damage put on this world from sin and Satan.  It will start and actually is starting to be done, in part, by the firstfruits, who now proclaim, with the help of YHWH’s Spirit leading them, the Good News of this coming Kingdom and the things that pertain to it and YHWH’s Son – YAHSHUA.

Feast of Tabernacles

After the Feast of Atonement, comes the Feast of Tabernacles in YHWH’s Harvest Plan.  In the O.T. there was a coming out of Egypt by the children of Israel.  After they came out, they stayed in temporary dwellings or booths.  This Feast reminds us of the Exodus which took place with our fathers; and it points to the latter days of Exodus (Isaiah 11:11-16; Ezekiel 20:33-45):

Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am YHWH your FATHER, Leviticus 23:42-43.

Each year, ASSEMBLY OF THE LIVING YAHWEH, celebrates this weeklong festival in keeping to YAH’s commandments [we look forward for dwellings e.g. campers, tents, and cabins in future].  The feasts is required of all those who have been grafted in and are considered spiritual Israelites chosen to be firstfruits.  We welcome all desiring to draw closer to YHWH to come and learn as there are messages and Bible studies each day of the feast, along with other activities to replenish and revitalise.  There is plenty of fellowship, as well, no doubt just like there was when the Israelites came out of Egypt.  Today, we come out of the symbolic Egypt, called the world, and partake of the blessings of keeping this Feast.

Besides the Feast of Tabernacles reminds us of the past, as well as the coming 1000-year reign that the Kingdom brings.  In fact, these 7 days are also going to be kept in the Kingdom itself.  Notice that those who do not come for this will be punished:

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith YHWH will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles, Zechariah 14:16-19 (also see, Ezekiel 45:25).

Both YHWH’s Name and the Feast of Tabernacles are mentioned, no less than 3 times, in the verses just quoted.  Rest assured, “it shall come to pass.”

When the final crops of wheat, grains, and fruits had been brought in, just before the Feast of Tabernacles, it brought joy and abundance.  It was now time to enjoy it and have a closer relationship with YHWH by keeping His Harvest Feast according to the way He prescribes:

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto YHWH seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath, Leviticus 23:39.   

In the N.T. you can see it is referred to as “the feast of the Jews”, John 7:2.  As mentioned before, it’s because they had corrupted YHWH’s Holy Days.

Interestingly enough, even when they wanted to kill YAHSHUA – after these things YAHSHUA walked in Galilee: for He would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill Him, John 7:1.  He spoke at their gathering for those who had ears to hear:

Now about the midst of the feast YAHSHUA went up into the temple, and taught.  And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?  YAHSHUA answered them, and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but His that sent Me.  If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of YAH, or whether I speak of Myself.  He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh His glory that sent Him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.  Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law?  Why go ye about to kill Me?  John 7:14-19.

The Pharisees and other teachers had corrupted the Law, including the Feast Days.  This was not only in the N.T., but the people also did it in the O.T., causing YHWH to say, I hate all your show and pretense – the hypocrisy of your religious festivals and solemn assemblies.  I will not accept your burnt offerings and grain offerings.  I won’t even notice all your choice peace offerings… Amos 5:21-24 NASB.  YHWH did not hate His own Appointed Times, but He did hate what they had turned it into; they turned it into things that were no longer His; they were pretending behaving as if they were obedient; they had become hypocrites; they were celebrating YHWH’s feasts with heathen feasts (verse 26); and most times, they did it partially.  The problem lay with the people – a people who had substituted His days and ways for counterfeit observances as obtain in today’s heathen feasts – Easter, Halloweens, Christmas, Boxing Day etc, much of which was rooted in paganism.

The Eighth Day or Last Great Day

The Eighth Day or the Last Great Day is the end of the Appointed Times in YHWH’s Havest Plan.  YAHSHUA MESSIAH also spoke to the people on this day:

In the last day, that great day of the feast, YAHSHUA stood and cried, saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.  He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water,” John 7:37-38.

In the overall plan, we have a last day that symbolises the Great White Throne judgement for the rest of mankind.  The saints are actually being judged now. 

For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of YHWH: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of YHWH? 1 Peter 4:17.

Later, during the Great White Throne judgement (Rev. 20:11-13), it will be the first time for many to hear and be given understanding of why things have been the way they’ve been on the earth.  YHWH is a merciful Judge, and Scripture relates few stripes will be given to those who knew little.  YAHSHUA Himself showed mercy on the torture stake, saying they did not know what they were doing.  He asked YHWH to forgive them, even while He suffered a terrible fate.

Then said YAHSHUA, FATHER, forgive them; for they know not what they do.  And they parted His raiment, and cast lots, Luke 23:34.

Indeed, many may escape the lake of fire, but it certainly appears to remain for those who understand YHWH’s will and then to wilfully reject it and walk in their own prideful ways.  YAHSHUA strongly suggested they may not be able to escape being destroyed (Matt. 23:33).

The saints today pray that people will awaken out of their slumber and escape the judgement to come.  It is the hope that people will start living a clean and wholesome life in MESSIAH YAHSHUA, doing the FATHER’s will.
