DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF YAHSHUA

What Day or Week Did Yahshua Rose?

When we talk about PASSOVER, we remind ourselves about “freedom” from captivity or bondage. Also, when we talk about Passover, we remind ourselves of the suffering, death and resurrection of our Master Yahshua.  Passover is synonymous with the Saving LAMB of YHWH.  The day and the week of Passover is very important in the Calendar of the children of YHWH.  Also the day and the week our Messiah died for us is more crucial as memorial. The suffering, death and resurrection of our Master YAHSHUA are tied to Passover that began in Egypt.  What are the key words that describe His death and resurrection?  At what time or season did His death occur?  What did He ask us to be doing till He returns? You ought to know!

The queries above can be responded in summary as follows.

Our Master Yahshua died to save humankind from their sins and to restore believers to the FATHER.  His suffering, death and resurrection occurred during the Feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread. Passover foreshadowed Yahshua’s death and He became the Pascal Lamb for all believers.  The time and season of His death is a memorial event which every believer is commanded to celebrate and must continue to do so until He returns.  Can we fathom the actual day of the week of His death and resurrection?  Let’s search the Scriptures to give us a clue!

PASSOVER

We can’t discuss the death of our Master without the PASSOVER Feast.  As pointed out above, the Passover was a shadow of the type of Yahshua. Yahshua is our Passover Lamb; our substitute, perfect without blemish; a Holy Offering unto YAH.  Through the acts of the FATHER, He freed our fathers from Egypt during their days in captivity. “I am YHWH your FATHER, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage” (Ex. 20:2).  By placing the BLOOD of the Lamb on the doorposts was all Yisrayah were required to observe total deliverance and freedom.  Similarly, by continuous celebration of the same Feast is what we require today for our freedom in the second Egypt we are today.  In due time for restoration, YAHSHUA will activate our release via our obedience.  Therefore, the BLOOD of YAHSHUA as the given Lamb of salvation is all we need today as the fathers needed the blood of “lamb” then for their freedom.  John the Baptist called YAHSHUA the Lamb of YHWH which taketh away the sin of the world.  YAHSHUA was the Passover Lamb everyone seeking deliverance and eternal inheritance requires as we head into troublesome times.  When YHWH told the children of Yisrayah to place the blood of the lamb on the doorposts it was the fourteenth of Abib or Nissan.  Every family of Yisrayah were to collect a Lamb on the 10th day of Abib, and to kill it on the 14-day marking the Feast of Passover.  From then on, all the Assembly of Yisrayah were to continue the feast till YAHSHUA returns.  Following the Biblical record, we submit that it was on the 14th of Abib that Yahshua was crucified.  This is consistent with the rest of YHWH’s Torah (see Ex. 12 and 13; Lev. 23:4-8).  This fulfils every detail of the shadow described in the 1st Covenant.  It’s the same Passover Lamb that fulfils the predicted coming of the Person of YAHSHUA MESSIAH in the 2nd Covenant, which Who took away the sins of the repented souls, and separate them from eternal death, thus freeing them from perpetual spiritual bondage and releasing them into eternal life.

Let’s reiterate that the death of YAHSHUA was the fulfilment of the Passover. In the year YAHSHUA was crucified, the 14th day of Abib when the Lamb was to be slain was a Wednesday, NOT a Friday.  Alternatively, following the Biblical hint of “In the end of the Shabbat, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week…”, we can confidently work 3 days and 3 nights backward from the annual Shabbat Convocation of the week to the beginning [or 1st day] of the Passover itself.  Let’s allow the Bible proof itself.

3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS

At evening or sun dawn at the end of the day (remember a typical day ends at sunset; in some countries it’s about 6:00 p.m. in the “evening” and from there the “night” begins as the Bible states).  YAHSHUA was arrested Wednesday night, imprisoned in the dungeon, tried and condemned to death on same Wednesday.  His body hung on the tree from 6th hour …unto 9th hour i.e. from noon to 3.00 p.m. [Matt. 27:45-46].  They hurriedly took His body down from the stake or tree because the annual Shabbat was about to begin.  This was so because they could not allow bodies to remain on the stake before Shabbat starts, particularly as it was a Holy Convocation Shabbat [this was annual Shabbat not weekly Shabbat].  That was a Wednesday night. Now begin the count: the Wednesday night was the first night in the grave, and Thursday the first day [day 1]. Thursday night was the second night in the grave, and Friday was the second day [day 2].  Friday night was the third night in the grave, and Saturday was the third day [day 3].  This is consistent with Jonah sign prediction of His kind of death:

“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” [Matt. 12:40]

The catch words here are three days and three nights.  Our Master referred to these to demonstrate how long His death would last.  There is need to re-emphasis the “days” and “nights” He died and resurrected because hijackers and false teachers deceived many to believe that the 4th Commandment, Shabbat was changed to “Sunday” as a result.  The truth remains that His death and resurrection never changed the unchangeable Torah [Law] of YHWH.  He made it clear that He did not come to remove or destroy the Law (Matt. 5:17].

Let’s begin with the women who were eyewitnesses.  Luke reveals that when the women came to the tomb, they had to wait for the weekly Shabbat to pass by. The end of the Sabbath would technically have been at 6:00 p.m. on annual Shabbat Evening being Saturday. The Bible states in Luke 23:54-56 that” It was Preparation Day, and a Shabbat [i.e., annual Shabbat not weekly Shabbat] was about to begin. The women who had come with Yahshua from the Galilee followed; they saw the tomb and how his body was placed in it. Then they went back home to prepare spices and ointments. “On Shabbat the women rested, in obedience to the commandment.”  Reading on to Luke 24 and forward: “but the next day, while it was still very early, they took the spices they had prepared, went to the tomb, and found the stone rolled away from the tomb!” [verse 1].

SUNDAY DECEPTION

The women were queried by the two men [angels]: “…Why are you looking for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has been raised!” (Luke 24:4-5). Yahshua was already risen when they came which was as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week [Matthew 28:1]. Yahshua had risen from the grave before the women arrived, which means He rose as Shabbat was ending,  and by the time the women came in, it had already entered into what may be called first day [i.e. Sunday].  We should becareful with such verses like Mark 16:9 which was meant to convince readers that YAHSHUA rose on Sunday: “When Yahshua rose early on the first day [Sunday], he appeared first to Miryam of Magdala from whom he had expelled seven demons.”  The Sunday resurrection was meant to cause believers to abandon Biblical Shabbat commandment [Ex. 20:8-11], so that unsuspecting believers could be deceived to uphold Sunday as a day of worship that Messiah changed at His resurrection.  What a lie!  Just as they caused many to believe in “Trinity” in Matthew 28:20 – Father, Son, Spirit – that has become false Church baptismal doctrine.  In this same way, the minds of people were programmed to believe that Yahshua died on Friday and rose on Sunday.  This is deception of Satan.  Readers of this article should run away from the Sunday worship lies because it was designed to cause them to rebel against YHWH’s Shabbat 4th Commandment. Sunday is commandment of men, carried out by the decree of Constantine and Bishops of Rome in 321 C.E.  For further reading, refer to our Books: “Yahshua’s Greatest Commandments”, and “Babylon is Fallen.”  Sunday worship is not only deceptive but also a scam. The 3 days and 3 nights are YAHSHUA’s Word, and it stands till date.  The deceivers simply want you not to believe the truth.

EASTER: A PAGAN FEAST

Finally, Matt. 28:1 reads “After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, [next day ‘dawning’ was the beginning of a new day.  This is the Evening of Shabbat that ushers in Sunday], Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of YHWH came down from heaven, rolled away the stone and sat on it.”  We should take cognisance of the lying pen of the deceivers who destroyed Passover and planted Easter and deceived Christians to believe one of the greatest lies in the Bible.  People are blinded to believe that Yahshua did not make it up to 3 days and 3 nights.  If Yahshua died and was buried on Thursday instead of Wednesday, that would not give us 3 days and 3 nights that points to Shabbat resurrection.  Again, Yahshua did not die on Friday as deceitfully thought by false teachers.  If Friday is the day of His death, and Sunday is the day of resurrection, Yahshua would simply be said to have lied – because He foretold 3 days and 3 nights.  Friday to Sunday grossly fall short of His timeline in the grave and resurrection.  Friday to Sunday is false and can never be believed because it has no Scriptural support.

Yahshua’s arrest and imprisonment commenced Tuesday, and was killed and hung on the tree about 12 Noon of Wednesday; He died about 3 p.m. and before 6 p.m. on same Wednesday. He was buried same day because of the annual Holy Shabbat that was about to begin.  He was in the grave from Wednesday night and rose from the dead before the end of Shabbat, thus completing the 3 days and 3 nights as a new day called first day [Sunday] was about to begin.

Biblically, there is no such thing as “Good Friday.”  Also, there is no such thing as “Easter”.  Easter [Ishtar] is a Pagan feast celebrated for the Queen of Heaven [Jer. Jer. 7:18-10; 44:15-19].  Yisrayahlites adopted it and they perished for serving the gods of nations.  Similarly, Christianity adopted the Pagan Easter and are still celebrating it today; they used it to replace Passover; just as they used Christmas to replace the Feast of Tabernacles.   For the sake of emphasis, Yahshua did not die on Friday.  He died on Wednesday, the 14th day of Nissan, perfectly and accurately fulfilling the shadow and type of the Passover Lamb in the 1st Covenant.  Thus, in the 2nd Covenant [New Covenant] He becomes the Mediator of the New Covenant, and Saviour of all who must be saved into eternal inheritance [Heb. 8:6; Heb. 9:15].

Shalom
