FEASTS OF PASSOVER & UNLEAVENED BREAD.

PASSOVER: YAHWEH’S MASTER PLAN FOR BELIEVERS

“This month [Abib, Nisan] shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you… In the tenth day of this month they [Yisrayah] shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house…and the whole Assembly of the Congregation of Yisrayah shall kill it in the evening.  And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation [holy assembly], and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you: no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.  And you shall observe the feast of Unleavened Bread, for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.” [Exodus 12:2-3,6,16-17 RSB].

“And as they did eat, YAHSHUA took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my BODY.  And He took the CUP, and when He had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.  And He said unto them, This is My BLOOD of the New Covenant, which is shed for many” [Mark 14:22-24, see Matthew 26:26-29 RSB].  “…I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my FATHER’s Kingdom.” [Matt. 26:29 RSB].  

The Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread are YAHWEH’s Masterplan for redemption of His people from bondage of sin and captivity.  PASSOVER feast began with the ancient fathers of Yisrayah and were carried on to the Promised Land.  The Feast of Passover foreshadowed YAHSHUA’s first-coming as the Passover Lamb of the New Covenant [Testament].  He was indeed killed as our ‘Pascal lamb’ to atone for the sins of mankind.  He thus renewed the Old Covenant and became the Mediator of the New Covenant so that He can save those who believe in Him [Heb. 8:6; Heb. 9:15].  He commanded that the Passover feast [not the Pagan feast of Easter] should be kept as memorial of His suffering and death till He returns [Exodus 12:1-17; Matthew 26:26-29]. 

Passover and Unleavened Bread are compulsory feasts for every believer in Yahshua Messiah.  Passover is one of the Feasts of YAHWEH that showcase His SALVATION PLAN for believers in YAHSHUA MESSIAH.
